You made me laugh out loud - I have been out of the office for a few days and I'm just catching up on your trip as I have a short break. I just know you are having a wonderful time. Keep safe. Hearing him say "Yeah" almost made me crack up a few times. Another source of weird Minnesotanism is Little House on the Prairie, especially when they have some particularly stereotypic Scandanavian person on there. I can give you my take on Little House and Minnesota in person, because I don't want to offend anyone with my commentary. Eden Prairie!! I have lots of friends out in the EP!! Or at least they come from EP. (Also, you wrote "outside Minnesota", where you mean "outside Minneapolis".) I loved your description of Jerry/the guy sitting next to you. You find so many of these guys out there, and it is infuriating/hilarious. After reading this post last night, I happened to talk to my friend Curt, in the Twin Cities area. I think the hot dog page may need a celebrity death prediction page accompaniment. Patrick Swayze, Kirk Douglas, Liz Taylor, and Jack Klugman better watch out if the Denninghams role into town with their car-o-bobble heads and dirty hot dog hands. Please spare Quincy; I'm still hoping for a role reprisal on any of the CSIs.
